The John Wade Singers is a Sheffield based amateur choir which performs a variety of styles of music in aid of local charities. We are proud of our friendly and fun approach to singing and enjoy a diversity of members covering a range of ages and musical abilities. We perform a wide repertoire of music from full scale operas and oratorios to arrangements of popular music and selections from musicals.
Membership of the choir is open to all who enjoy singing and rehearsals are held weekly on Friday nights in a friendly atmosphere with an emphasis on it being a social evening as well as rehearsing. In 2009 it was the choir’s 25th anniversary and in its history it has been proud to sing in many venues donating concert proceeds to a large number of charities in and around the Sheffield area. |
